What is a Salt Pool?

WHAT IS A SALT WATER POOL

A salt water pool is a pool that uses salt, that is added to the pool water and a salt cell in the plumbing of the pool to create chlorine. Salt Water pools have salt in them but actually are chlorine pools.

As water with salt in it flows through a salt cell, the salt cell uses a small amount of electricity to convert the salt to hypochlorous acid (chlorine) and hydrogen. The hypochlorous acid sanitizes the pool water and the hydrogen molecule increases the ph in your pool.

A salt system requires constant monitoring of ph levels to keep your salt water pool operating efficiently and effectively.
